Getting Packed / Art Project

Can you believe it?? My freshman year of college is almost over with! I am still trying to process it. It feels like I just moved in and got all my stuff moved in and settled. Now I am putting it back in boxes and packing it all back up! Weird! Tawni and I had a fun time trying to fit all of our stuff into boxes. We decided not to sort really anything because we will be living with each other in the fall again so there is no point in sorting all of our stuff out. We are practically one person most of the time anyways :) When we got finished going through and packing stuff tonight we ended up with 21 sacks full of trash. HOLY COW!! We decided it would be fun to throw it off our balcony. So we did. We also completed our art project finally. We "borrowed" a shopping cart that we found hanging around our apartment complex and decorated it with flowers. We put soil in it and some of our toilet paper rolls and a cactus. It has some meaning which we figured out at one point, but I don't remember what it was. So you can draw your own meaning from it! heheh... There is a picture up above of all our toilet paper rolls. We have been collecting them since we got back from Christmas break. We never counted them all, but we have a lot as you can see. Who knew 3 girls could go through so much toilet paper! :) Well, I leave for Mexico in exactly 2 weeks from today. It is getting closer! I am sooooo excited! Bring on Mexico! :)

Conference Weekend!

This weekend it was nice to go home to St.George and soak in the sun and warm weather. Conference was amazing as always and the Prophet and apostles talks touched my heart like they always do. I realized I need to better myself so that I am more in accordance with the Lord's will! I think there is always room for improvement and bettering ourselves and that is what I love about Conference weekend. It allows me to get advice from those who are so close to the Lord and who in a way relay information from the Lord to us Saints, that we may recognize those things we are doing wrong and change and better ourselves! :) It was fun to see my family again and to spend time with them watching movies and just hanging out! Well, it is hard to believe but I am only 3 and a half weeks out from flying to Mexico! I really can not wait!! So many things to do though between now and then! I better get a move on it! hehe.. :)

One Month To Go!!

Well here goes my first post. Exactly one month from today I will be heading to Mexico to live for two months. I am sooooo excited and a little nervous. But I know its going to be an opportunity of a life time. It is honestly something I have always wanted to do and now I get the opportunity to do it! I feel truly blessed and am counting down the days till I leave. Well here is my first post. I will be writting more and posting pictures through out my trip so everyone that wants to can keep up with what I am doing in Mexico! :)
