¡Hola Todos! I am here! After a few set backs I made it to Mexico safely. It is so beautiful here. There are so many colors and so many people everywhere. I have only been here three days, but have already experienced so much. The buses are a hot. They drive so fast and do not care how many people they cram on the bus. They drive super fast and only stop for a second. Just long enough for you to hop on or off before your foot gets caught in the door. They are so much fun. We sit in the back of the bus and if we hit a bump just right you get total air. Its awesome! Do not worry though, I am being safe. hehe... My family is so nice. Its a little bit older lady and gentlemen. They have a daughter living at home as well. I believe she is 21, but I am not quite sure. They also have a dog named Ron. He is a golden retriever and he is soooo cute. Well my first night here I went to take a shower. The water pressure is pretty much none existent in the house so the water was a dribble and a cold one none the less. I kept turning the knob, which I thought had an H on it, but come to find out it was an F, all the way up and turning the C knob all the way down cause I thought it was like it is in the US. hahah.. Silly me. F stands for Frio in espanol which means cold and C stands for Caliente which means hot. Total blonde moment, but now I know. Church was good yesterday. I am getting a feel for what exchange students to America feel like. I get lost and sometimes when someone speaks to me I have no idea what they said to me. I am learning the phrase "no intendo" (i do not understand) very well. But people here are patient with us and take the time to help us understand. Its great. It was really neat to be in church, where there were only a few members compared to my ward back home. They are so greatful for everything and so kind. I realized that the church is true no matter where you are. They are just like us. They have a testimony of the gospel and they know its true. There is no difference between what they learn and what we learn. We had a lesson on Alma in Sunday School, sung the hymns in spanish, and had a lesson on Joseph Smith in Relief Society. The church is true and is taught around the world on the same principles. It does not change from place to place. How awesome that is. Well we got home from Church and then our family, who are Catholic, left to go to their church. We were put in charge of the dog. He acted thirsty so we gave him some water and then more water cause he kept begging. BAD IDEA. We were in our room just chilling when we heard this sounds like water running. We turned around and there is Ron, leg up in full peeing position peeing all over the side of Nanis bed and running down onto the tiled floor. It was not just a little. It was a whole lot! We busted up laughing and then cleaned it up. Sooooo nasty, but hilarious! heheh... Well I survived my first day of school today! Its so laid back compared to BYU. I have very little homework and the teachers are so nice to help. Well thats what is going on so far. I am sure there will be more stories later. I love you all. Hopefully everything is going well! Con Amor!!
